Zync Child Safety Standards Policy

Effective Date: April 19, 2025
Last Updated: April 19, 2025

1. Our Commitment

Zync is committed to providing a safe environment for all users—especially minors. We have a zero‑tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and take every possible measure to prevent, detect, and remove any content or behavior that harms children.

2. Published Standards Against CSAE

  • Zero Tolerance: Any depiction or solicitation of sexual activity involving a minor (anyone under 18) is strictly prohibited.
  • Grooming & Exploitation: We ban all grooming behaviors—flirting, gifts, or communications designed to manipulate or exploit minors.
  • Content Removal: Any user or content in violation is suspended immediately, and offensive materials are removed without delay.

3. In‑App Feedback & Reporting

  • "Report" Button: Every profile, post, message thread, and photo has a prominently placed Report icon. Users can select "Child Safety" to flag any suspicious content or behavior.
  • In‑App Ticketing: Once a report is filed, our Trust & Safety team is notified via our internal ticketing system and begins investigating within 2 hours.
  • Acknowledgment & Follow‑Up: We confirm receipt to the reporting user and resolve or escalate within 24 hours.

4. Addressing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

  • User‑Driven Detection: We rely on in‑app reports and our community moderation to surface any suspected CSAE content.
  • Human Review: All reports of CSAM are reviewed by trained members of our Trust & Safety team within 4 hours for high‑severity alerts and within 24 hours for other flags.
  • Quarantine & Removal: Confirmed violations lead to immediate removal of content and suspension of the offending account.

5. Legal & Regulatory Compliance

  • Global Standards: We comply with GDPR (EU & UK), COPPA (US), and all applicable child‑protection laws in jurisdictions where we operate.
  • Data Minimization: We collect only the minimum personal data required, and retain it only as long as legally permissible.
  • Audit & Certification: We regularly audit our policies and processes against Tech Coalition best practices for combating online CSEA.
